| Those of you who peek ahead to the album reviews before reading
the "hard news" already know that Fourth Estate has released
a new album, "See What I See." The band is negotiating on a licensing
deal, which will put this project in the CBA market. Produced by the great
John Andrew Schreiner, so far the album has received nothing but stellar
reviews. Guitar magazine has just started a new feature on the "Best
of the Unknown," and the debut feature will focus on guitarist Dave
Beegle and Fourth Estatre. Lonn Friend, former editor of Rip, has
predicted, "They may be unsigned now, folks, but this band is destined
for greatness, I promise ya!"
The past year has seen the departure of drummer Jim Iltis, who was replaced by L. A. studio drummer Dave Suprr, who came recommended by Phil Keaggy. A prominent music critic in Colorado picked Fourth Estate as one of the top ten concerts of '95. They were the only regional, unsigned band in the lineup, and were second only to Page/Plant, and ahead of the likes of David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails. Dave Beegle was recently filmed for "Beyond 2000" for the Discorery Channel, whiched focused on his playing with the revolutionary self tuning Transperformance guitar. Plan are underway for Fourth Estate to be one of the bands performing at the hm tent at Cornerstone this year and for some Transperformance guitar clinics by Dave.
