Proudly, I am now a member of the GRITS (Girls Raised In the South) webring. If you would truly like to get a glimpse of today's Southern Belles and the cultures we cherish,

I am also, proudly, a new member of the Arkansas Web Ring.... You really ought to join this IF you are from Arkansas...! After all, Arkansas is the only State mentioned in the Bible.... "and Noah looked out of the ARKANSAS......." hehehehehhehehehe

Many people tend to make fun of Southerners and mistakenly think we are all "rednecks" and hicks....yet they are still fascinated with the Southern culture as a whole. The South is actually a very diverse region with several different cultures encompassed inside it. Redneckism is just one of them. There are also cajuns and creoles (there is a difference) and of course, the Bible Belt gang. There are families who gather together every Sunday after church and share a meal together, and families who ditch their Sunday clothes for swimsuits and head for a river to waterski or swim or fish. There are also those who are NASCAR addicts and head to the nearest raceway with their icechests full of cold drinks.

Come Monday morning, though, it is back to work.....

I recently joined another webring....The Dysfunctional Family Webring. Now, be honest, how many people do you know who DON'T think their families were a "bit" dysfunctional? This is not - in anyway-a "slam" against my family. I have a wonderful family!
