A Little Bit Me...Im A Cosmic Dancer, a Venus in Furs, a Moonage Daydream, a 20th Century Grrl..
Hi, I am Carmen. How..fun? No. I just felt that I needed to let you all know who the bloody hell I was. I am watching Rushmore as I write this. Do you like Rushmore? I should make a page for it, as I love it so much! Heheh. Jason Schwartzman is a fox. Which moves me to my first order of business. I am a very um *lusting* gal. I tend to obssess over men I shall never have. I think this is because I am the most single african-american/puerto rican gal i know.I feel in order for you to get to know me, you should know what (who) I am obsessed with!
Carmen's List o' Future Lovers *snort guffaw*
- Ewan Mcgregor- He's a keeper, gorgeous and beautiful and scottish! Check my Velvet Goldmine page to find out more about my fave film of his
- Jason Schwartzman- Hot, jewish (i think??), and the embodiment of one of the greatest characters ever created, Max Fischer!! Go check out his band, Phantom Planet's, webpage
- Thom Yorke- Very likely one of the most beautiful voices ever. I truly compare this guys genius to John Lennon, he's fuckin vundyful!
- John Lennon- he's the latest and the greatest of them all!
- Alan Cumming- He's a new one, well, to me I mean. I just discovered him in Cabaret, and all of a sudden im turned on to all his fantabulous work! Viva La Alan!
*Phew* For a Minute There, I lost myself! Now I think another important thing you should know about me is my love for music!!! I know should put a list of my
most favorite must have cds of all time!!!!!- First and foremost, Radiohead's "OK Computer"- This has to my most favorite album, which is very good, considering I consider (jeez) the Beatles the greatest band of all time. It's such a simple album at first glance, but I discover new sounds and bits and pieces every time I give this pretty little thing a spin (which is countless times a day). Oddly enough, my favorite Radiohead song isn't even on that cd. My fave Radiohead song is "Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong" and it's on the Iron Lung EP, an EP i dont yet own. I also highly reccommend all of the Radiohead albums (yes even Pablo Honey!!) and the U.N.K.L.E cd just to hear "Rabbit In Your Headlights" (hey there are a couple other good songs on there too!)
- Flaming Lips "Soft Bulletin"- Now this is a cd I cannot stop talking about!! It's so pretty and beautiful and I just can't get enough!! I own two other Flaming Lips cds, and while those are good, I just dont dig them as much as Soft Bulletin..oh well.
- Beatles "Revolver" - This was my very first Beatles album. It's a bloody masterpiece! All the songs fitting nicely together leaving you craving more. It's so cool, aint it? My other fave Beatle albums are Abbey Road, Beatles for Sale, Hard Days Night, White Album, and Please Please Me.
- David Bowie "Ziggy Stardust"- Wow, c'mon, one of the definitive glam albums!! One of my very favorite concept albums also. It's a cool story, and it brought along one of the coolest phases in music ever!!
- Imperial Teen "Seasick"-Every time I listen to this cd I wonder why it isn't owned by every person on this planet? It's so confusing, yet makes all the sense in the world! Very simple melodies and very complexing webs around simple messages...
- Supergrass "I Should Coco"-Oh man, this is the embodiment of cool! Supergrass' first album just blows me away every time! Cheeky, yet sincere, fun loving, yet intriguing. Yes, anyway you put it, Supergrass is a good band!!! I Should Coco is full of pretty little ditties to get yer arse swingin in the city. They tell tales of being caught by the fuzz (Eh, Lisa?) keeping their teeth nice and clean, talking to people their not supposed to, and well, searching for those bloody strange ones.
Im sorry, that is all I can think up for now, but I will think of more...
I shall add more later. This page shall be contiuned...do not fret.
And one for the vaults...
Me and Anders, and he's a real life brit!
