an evolving website dedicated to Medieval and Renaissance Studies

"Ad Majorem Gloria Dei"

Good greeting, fair traveller! And welcome to the Castle. You will notice that it is under construction, both literally and figuratively. I chose this image on purpose, since Chatelaine Castle as a research site will never be completed--not as long as research online progresses. The aim of this website is to provide you my guest with a fair cross-section of medieval and Renaissance studies resources on the Web. This website, like any good castle, is composed of various Rooms. Come in, and enjoy what the Castle has to offer.

Notes: This website is apparently most favorable to Netscape, particularly Netscape Communicator, and it appears to prefer PCs. I cannot guarantee its visual quality if viewed on other browsers or Macs. Also, all images on this website are courtesy of fellow medievalists online and must not be used for commercial purposes. The castle images in particular are used by kind permission from Ed Krafsur. Also, I have intended no copyright infringement for any segment of this site. Chatelaine Castle is under constant construction. (After all, a good castle in the Middle Ages required decades of building...)
