This is me and Dande around 1983 or 1984. It captures his joy and our love...as well as our interests. I'm with the hippie headband and overalls and he has on his baseball hat. He once told an old lady on the bus, when he was about 5, that he was born to be a Yankee fan. In his manner, he lived up to that ideal.

This is a picture of me (Barrie Gellis/Stewie Gould) and Lawrence Davidson (Lauren DelMarie) outside Jerry's Candy Store in our Queens, NY, neighborhood known as Clearview. Jerry's was one of "The New York" guys/gals' major hangouts in those days. This picture may have been taken a few years before we attended class, but I really think it was taken during the class years.

 

This is a picture of me, on the right, (Barrie Gellis/Stewie Gould) and Ricky Stack, (Rudy Storch, at the left, at one of the recent annual neighborhood reunions we have--and of which I wrote about on the Q&A pages. It was taken in either 1995, 1996 or 1997. Does it really matter?

Richard Kendall, or Dickie as we called him then (Richard Kendall) is the big face in the foreground. Behind him to the right is Bobby Axelrod (Bobby Agan). This was taken between 1968-1972ish. it was taken inside Jerry's Candy Store.

 

This is a picture of Jeffrey Marcus (Jed Martz) taken in my Clearview apartment bedroom somewhere around 1969-1970 I think. If so, it was about a year or two before we started attending classes. In some Seth book appendixes, Jeffrey is referred to as Jeffey-boy by Jane.

 

This is a picture of a big-smiling Joyce (Joy Mankowitz) taken around 1985. She attended a number of Seth classes back in the 1970s. At one time she was Ricky's girl friend (1970-1971ish); they broke up and about 8 months later we started going out (1972-1977--with a 4-month break around Dec. '72 to April '73). This picture was taken at our first neighborhood reunion held at The Bay, another of our hangouts. It took about 5 or 6 years before we had another reunion. We then have them each year.

 

This is a picture of me (Barrie Gellis/Stewie Gould) hitchhiking upstate New York circa 1970...about two years before attending my first Seth class.

 

This is a picture of Ricky Stack (Rudy Storch), lower right, a few years before he started going to Seth class. He's with one of our close friends Robes. I don't remember, off hand, if he ever went to class or not...but he was a great friend.

This is a picture of Ricky Stack (Rudy Storch), who is on the left; Lawrence Davidson (Lauren DelMarie), on the right; and in the middle, Hugh (Harold Wiles). The picture is taken in Jane's house during a class break, circa 1973-4. Hugh was an older guy who went to Jane's class and not from New York City. He must have been around 20 or so older than us at the time (and today, too, I imagine). He was someone who always recorded the class sessions and typed up the transcripts for the class each week. Each week we would receive a transcript from the previous week's class and discuss it.
