I am blown away by the sheer quality of LucasFans Zak2. The most important quality is that the game is finished! And it took just three months, apparently. That is amazing. And it looks and feels just like the 256 color version of Zak1. Yes, they reused a lot of Zak1 images, but the new images are even better IMO.

Some people complain that the game is not as long or detailed as Zak1. What do you expect? It's free, and the people who create it need to spend their time on their regular jobs. Sure, as a stand-alone game it can be a bit limiting. But as an appendix - assuming you have played and enjoyed Zak1 first - it's perfect, in my opinion.

For the last couple of years I have watched the other Zak projects, month after month, delay after delay. It seemed like they would never finish. Then suddenly, Wham! LucasFan games comes out of nowhere with a finished game. Amazing. "Respect is due", as they say.
