My Friends' Magnetic Poetry

Here is a tiny selection of poetry done by my friends. There isn't much right now because I never thought to write it down before (silly me, I could have threatened them). I'm afraid that most of the time when they come over and start playing with my kit the poetry seems to become sexual in nature. Lucky for us I only have five poems right now. Perhaps I'll have a party and see what I get...

This poem was written by a friend of mine, he didn't use a Magnetic Poetry Kit, but I don't have a separate page for friends without Magnetic Poetry, so I'm putting it here until I get one.

The Impossible Dream

She calls to you in your dreams, asking you to join her.

So you answer her call and chase after her with translucent wings of hope,
drifting closer to her as she continues her call towards you.

Suddenly, as if suddenly frightened by you she turns away and begins to fly off.

Off into the distance you follow her, wings shaking with the sheer force of the
chase, heart pounding, and adding urgency to the struggle.

She leads you through the ultimate darkness of your deepest desires and
dreams, your innermost hopes and the past disappointments you thought
were gone, but rarely ever are.

There you stay suspended. In front of her as the memories of the past swirl
around you in a feverish pitch, your mind begins to doubt
everything you believe in as you clutch your head in pain.

The pain, you can't stand the pain.

The pain begins to spread, to the heart first. Watching your heart turn black
then crack into dust, you wish that the mind were actually the first to go.
Then there would be no thought, no regret, no pain.
Then the dark begins to spread to the rest of your body, finally reaching the wings
that carried you on hope. Slowly they begin to darken and crack.

Small cracks begin joining with the larger ones jutting from your back
creating what appear to be blackened veins that quickly overtake the wings
and shatter them. You scream, or at least try to as you can feel
every hope and dream being ripped from you.

As you look down at your own body, you see that there is nothing but small
fragments suspended within thin air. Even though the fragments that remain
are turning to dust, try to remind you of what is important.
But all you know is that you want the pain to end.

And at that realization, you look to her and she smiles.

In one brief second, there is no pain, no desire, no longing, and no hope.
There is nothing but her voice fading into the black.

This is a song written by a friend of mine, he didn't use a Magnetic Poetry Kit, but, once again, I'm putting it on this page anyway until I can get a chance to make a separate NON-Magnetic Poetry friends page.

You & Me

You know that I know that the Lord gave you to me and he lead us to be something special something free when he created you and me.
And you know that I know how our love could grow to be into you and me if you'd just let it be
I know it'd work being you and me
Look at all the goodtimes we had together
sunshine or rain .no matter what the weather ...TV or games ...calling eachother names
Soo see dear and open your ears Wipe the tears from your eyes
Let your heart talk to you Becuz you know its true I really love being with you
I love holding you next to me and hating when you're far awwwaaaayyyyyy.
I wish i could be with you both night and dayy
Just say the word and baby I'll stay
For u know as time goes how our love has grown to be into you and me
And I thank you for opening your heart and letting it be you and me.........
