Our Webring Home: |
The DreamWeavers WebRing is a group of sites belonging to writers of FanFiction, Fantasy, SciFi or Horror around the Web, linked together in a circular fashion to form ring with no beginning and no end. You can travel a ring in either direction, either jumping to (or skipping) the next site or previous site; you can also list the next five sites in the ring, jump to a random site in the ring, or simply get a list of all pages in the loop.On this page, you can:
- read about any updates to this page
- read the membership requirements
- join the DreamWeavers WebRing
- edit your site information (URL, email address, site description, or password)
- or read our FAQ (frequently asked question).
Membership Requirements
Our membership is open to
- anyone who is a writer of FanFiction, Fantasy, Science Fiction , Horror, Romanceor Suspense. We also accept poets and writers of Western fiction (seem to be so few of those around).
- anyone whose site is a repository for any of the above.
- the site being registered must contribute, in some way, to the pursuit of writing, either by displaying their own works, or the works of others on line. This is a change for us. Before it was enough to provide resources for writers or links to other writers sites, but we were getting too many applications from commercial site who were selling software that could be used by writers. Please, no commercial sites whose sole contribution is the retail sale of products of interest to writers. If a commercial site wishes, they can mail me their information and I will list them under "Resources". To belong to our Webring you must write.
- must have at least one page dedicated to "Genre Writing".

Just go to our code page and display the code source (Netscape - click View , select "Document Source". IE - right click select source) and cut and paste the code desired (with graphic or "graphic-less) into your page document.
There are several parameters you need to customize.
Where you see "_SITE_ID_HERE_" replace it with the identification number given your site.
Replace "_SITE-OWNERS_E-MAIL_" with your e-mail address and "_YOUR_SITE-NAME_" with the name of your pages (eg: The Dustbin).

(Just go to these addresses, right-click on the image, and choose Save As... from the menu)Note: If you save the graphics to a directory other than the same directory your page is in, don't forget to alter the path to the graphic in your HTML code.
- Once you've added the necessary HTML fragment and images to webpage, email me and ask me to add you to the ring. Be sure to include your Site ID number in your message.
