Poetic Edda

Þá kvað þat Þrymr,
þursa dróttinn:
"Berið inn hamar
brúði at vígja,
lekkið Mjöllni
í meyjar kné,
vígið okkr saman.
Várar hendi."

Then said Thrym,
Thurs-lord:
"Bear forth the hammer
to hallow the bride,
lay Mjollnir
on the maid's knee,
Hallow us together.
By Var's hand."

- Thrymskvidha (translation by Joe Mandato)
