Through probably there are no linguistic differences among the Serbs and Croats of Romania, for political and cultural reasons Croat is to be considered a distinct language. In Romania, there is a cluster of half a dozen Croat villages in the southeast around Resita, with some 5,000 people. Spellings in this table are not totally reliable (sorry).

Slovak in Hungary

The census numbered 12,000 slovaks in Hungary in 1990, but Slovak associations estimate they number in 100-110,000 Slovaks live in Hungary at present. They live in several pockets, geographically dispersed, being the communities around the south-eastern cities of Hungary (Békéscsaba, Mezõberény, Szarvas and Tótkomlós) the most important.
