  • I have been asked, "if god forgives you of your sins. when i die what is he going to judge me for?"

I understand this to mean, "If God forgives all my sins, what will I be judged for?"

God forgives the sins we are truly sorry for, on the condition that we also forgive others. It is clear from Matthew 6 and 25 as well as several other passages; He will treat us well if we treat others well. God is not only merciful; He is also just. Sins are not simply forgiven "no matter what."

The answer, then, is that we will be judged on all aspects of virtue. If we are virtuous, we will be judged as virtuous. If we are in any respect vicious, we will be found unworthy of the company of the saints, the company of heaven.
