BBC (Monday, 2 April, 2001, 09:33 GMT 10:33 UK) Church officials in Indonesia say a gang of armed Muslims have raided a village in the Moluccan Islands, killing three Christians. The officials say the attack took place on Sunday at a village Kase on Buru Island. One church official is quoted as saying that hundreds of Christians were now waiting to be evacuated from the island. Thousands of Christians and Muslims in the Moluccan Islands have been killed in communal violence in recent years. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service
