Sabretooth

Over the years, Carol has run afoul of the mutant called Sabretooth a number of times. Their first encounter occured when Carol was assigned to meet and greet the Canadian agent called Logan. She and Nick Fury arrived just in time to prevent Logan from being gunned down by Victor Creed AKA Sabretooth. Danvers and Fury were successful in rescuing Logan but not before they had the opportunity to tussle with Sabretooth.

Carol and Logan became partners, working together whenever a joint case involving the US and Canada came up. During one such mission, the two came into conflict with Creed yet again. This time, Sabretooth had sold his mercenary skills to Sebastian Shaw, who had hired Creed to keep the public blissfully unaware of the existence of mutants. One of Creed's targets had been Logan's Canadian partner. Sabretooth successfully killed Logan's friend. Naturally, Logan looked into the murder with a little assistance from his old pal, Agent Danvers. The two uncovered the truth bringing them into direct conflict with Sabretooth. The battle ended with Sabretooth presumed dead in a huge explosion.

Years later, Carol fought Sabretooth one-on-one as Ms. Marvel. Creed was on a rampage in the subway of New York after being "accidentally" released by the Canadian government, who wanted to use him to track down and bring back Wolverine, who had recently severed his ties with Canada to join the X-Men. Finally freed, Creed easily escaped but was taken down by Ms. Marvel. Theirs was a heated battle that rocked the New York underground, but in the end Carol stood victorious.
