I've had several people ask me where the "Noda thing" comes from, so I thought I'd save myself some writing time and post it here. It's rather silly, actually, but here goes.
When I first came to work at the resort where I'm currently employed, I was a waitress, and part of our routine was to introduce ourselves to our tables. I was usually a little nervous, so I had a tendency to talk faster than usual. As I approached the table, and said, "Hi, my name is Lynn, and I'll be your waitress." The guests didn't quite catch it, and one of them asked,
"Linda?"
And I said, "no, it's just 'Lynn,' no 'da.'"
A friend of mine happened to be near-by and heard the whole exchange, and from that moment on he started calling me "Noda," and it's stuck. So, when it came time to choose a screen name, it seemed the logical choice. See? Not very exciting after all, is it :-)?
