Philip Lee Fook Chuen Sensei

Philip Lee Sensei started training Aikido in 1971 under Harry Ng Sensei (6th Dan).  In July 1981, Philip Sensei was one of the first Singaporean to be allowed to live-in and train in Hombu Dojo, Aikido World Headquarters, Tokyo, Japan. Philip Sensei stayed and trained there for a month under the late Doshu, Kisshomaru Ueshiba Sensei, and other Shihans, many of whom he maintained close relationship with until today.  Thereafter, Philip Sensei continues to make regular trips to Japan to train in various dojos as well as organizes group tours there for training.

In 1982, Philip Sensei founded the first permanent Aikido dojo at SAFRA Bukit Merah. He was one of the founding members of Aikikai (Singapore) in 1987.  He held the position of Secretary General (till December 1999) and was also a member of the Board of Supervisors (till September 2002).
