Oasis, a close-harmony vocal jazz ensemble based in Toronto, Canada, has been in existence since 1985, longer than that other group of the same name! You'll hear a blend of pop, classical, Broadway and 'world music' at most Oasis concerts, but our chief interest is vocal jazz.
Oasis Vocal Jazz comprises teachers, lawyers, account reps, IT professionals and entrepreneurs. We include suburban working moms, urban gays and everyone in between. Musically, we range from 'dabblers' to veterans of stage and studio, but none of us is a professional musician. Our common ground is a love of vocal jazz. |

What happens to concert revenues |
Individually we do not get paid for being in Oasis. After taking care of concert costs, we use any surplus funds to buy music or otherwise enhance our audience's experience. Someday we'd like to raise enough money to buy our own sound equipment. |
